Programs & Services

KEY Project currently has three pillar programs to share with everyone in your ʻohana.  Our Youth, Kūpuna, and Living Library programs offer a range of more targeted services, while our mission guides us to lead broader community based programs on a regular basis.

Youth Program

Do you live in the areas of Kāneʻohe to Kahuku, are in grades 6-8, and want to experience ʻāina-based experiential learning activities in Koʻolau? Sessions are offered during breaks from school in spring, summer, and fall. Click here to learn more!

Kūpuna Program

Do you live in the areas of Kāneʻohe to Kahuku and are over the age of 50? Join KEY Project's Nā Pua o Koʻolau to access a welcoming and supportive space to connect with other seniors. We offer exercise, art, digital literacy, cultural activities, connection to resources, and weekly meals.

Living Library

The newest program at KEY is dedicated to preserving our past, capturing our present and educating for our future community through digital images, video, and audio stories of resilience from our neighbors and ʻohana.

Volunteer

We thrive because of help from our volunteers!  If you have a passion for helping, let us know.  We look for help in office, around the campus, at our events, and more!

Facilities

We have a multi-purpose community center with facilities to meet a variety of needs; from small meetings to large parties, we have a space for you to host your event!

Social Services

Food insecurity in our community is something we strive to address and provide for through twice monthly foodbank distributions and an emergency food pantry. We continue to grow our resources for additional basic needs and service referrals.

KEY Supporters who make it happen

Mahalo to everyone who generously donates and supports our efforts.  We could not continue to hold space for everyone if not for the funds, time, knowledge, and skills of our dedicated partners.

“Mahalo for the pictures, ‘ike, and opportunities. [My daughter] is thoroughly enjoying herself and is learning so much. She shared a few pictures on our family group chat that everyone can learn from. I wish I could go with you guys tomorrow! She’s looking forward to it. I hope you folks are enjoying yourself as much as the keiki are. 😊”   -  Hoʻopilina Youth Program Parent
